About Dan Jackson: Business Coach

Dans approach to any engagement is collaborative. His goal is to ensure that you and your organisation are better equipped to reach their goals as a result of his involvement.

Dan Jackson has five main areas of expertise:

  1. Strategy Consultant. Dan provides strategic planning and advice to Boards and Executive Groups mainly in QLD and VIC. He founded the Action Strategy Inventory – a method to develop nimble strategic plans to deliver effective, sustainable results.

  2. Business Improvement Specialist. Dan has led improvement projects in the Defence, Health and Energy sectors. He founded the 7SIM® Business Improvement Framework. There are 330 7SIM graduates Australia-wide. While in the USA, Dan was an Examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for Defense and on return to Australia was admitted to the Australian Business Excellence Award Evaluation Panel.

  3. Leader. Dan retired as a Commander in the Australian Navy at age 36. Since then he has been CEO of a technical consulting firm. Now in its 13th year, CALM Consulting is twice a BRW Fast 100 Finalist [2009 & 10] and boasts a Client Net Promoter Score of 8.9. Dan has played leadership, project management, coaching and facilitation roles with clients and until recently convened the Garden City Business Club.

  4. Author. Dan is the author of “The Naked Chief – Practical Strategies to Excel at the Senior Level”. The book contains principles and methods to equip people to be highly effective senior leaders. The Naked Chief is the cornerstone of a coaching program currently under development.

  5. Educator. Dan is an Executive Coach to QLD Health, and was an Adjunct Lecturer for the Australian Graduate School of Management (Performance Improvement, Data Analysis & Statistical Modelling and Operations Management). He has trained over 300 graduates in the 7SIM Business Improvement program. 7SIM has recently been transferred to an online format.
